- 1978 IDEAL started in a small warehouse with two blueprint machines and two accounts
- 1982 Achieved over 300 accounts
- 1984 Exclusive distributor, Diato Corp; introduced largest electrostatic copier (42") worldwide; sold over 100 @$100,000.
- 1988 Introduced first low cost high resolution scanner into USA at Autofact show in Detroit
- 1993 ImageSystem Technology's "Cad Overlay" largest partner
- 1994 Launched Digital Blueprint Paper Machine. Wins Best of Cadalyst Award
- 1998 Began development of Reproweb prior to the PlanRoom/ScanRoom name being coined
- 2000-2001 Census Bureau, United Defense, Soldiers Magazine use IDEAL PlanRoom
- 2002 Launched FEMA flood map site with IDEAL PlanRoom technology
- 1993, 1994, 1998-2004 IDEAL was named Distributor of the Year by Contex
- Close to 5000 scanners sold
- 2008 IDEAL Scanner Sales and Service Division sold to Contex, while IDEAL Scanning Services and PlanRoom/ScanRoom software development continues
- 2009 Introduced first high speed 36" large format color printer in Washington, DC, capable of 6 D-size prints per minute.
- 2010 Introduced Scan to Google Solution, featuring IBML high production small format scanner at FOSE in Washington, DC.
