IDEAL Releases IntraNETIX 7.0

Provides Browser-Based Quick Search, View and Print of Large Format CAD and Engineering Drawings IDEAL Rolls Out New Dealer Program
With New Web-Based Software and Certification Programs

March 5, 2001, - Chicago, IL - Today at NDES, IDEAL.com announces the release of IntraNETIX 7.0. IntraNETIX provides quick search, view and print of scanned engineering drawings and CAD files via a standard web browser. Using Thin Client technology, IntraNETIX allows users to access and view drawings and other documents residing at local or remote document archives.

New features in IntraNETIX 7.0 include: (1) I/RIP, RIP Technology that allows printing directly to production LED plotters, inkjet plotters and office laser printers from a central server; (2) PlanRoom Projects, which allows project owners to customize collaborative and bid projects with identity banners; (3) I/BUILDER (Instant Intranet), which allows bulk population of existing documents into an IntraNETIX ODBC database.

"Anywhere you have a browser, you have access to your scanned engineering drawings or CAD files, " says Jay Magenheim, IDEAL's President. "IntraNETIX requires no viewing/printing applications or plug-ins, and there is no licensing limit on the number of users or the number of documents, so IntraNETIX is an economical way to share your drawings with vendors, customers or the shop floor."

Drawings can be stored in into web accessible file folders or indexed to an ODBC supported database. A "shopping cart" facility allows authorized users to select the drawings they need, add them to a user set and download for printing. Users can apply different print settings to individual items in their user set.

IDEAL.com integrates, markets, and supports a wide range of color and monochrome scanning solutions for large format drawings and technical documents including Scan to Web and Print from Web solutions. IDEAL will be demonstrating IntraNETIX 7.0 at tradeshows including NDES, GITA, AIIM, IRgA, A/E/C SYSTEMS, and Seybold. The basic server license for IntraNETIX is $12,900.
