July 9, 2003, Rockville, MD - IDEAL.com announces the new IDEAL PlanRoom, a
customizable online document ordering and management system. The IDEAL PlanRoom is
a complete, secure solution for Internet-enabled large format businesses. The system
can be customized for use by construction companies, architectural firms, facilities
management companies, reprographers, or any other business that relies on large format
drawings, whether color or black and white. This unique system takes the user from
scanning, document acquisition and indexing to job submission and on-line ordering.
It offers quick view via thin client technology and remote printing at reprographic
shops with IDEAL PlanRooms.

The IDEAL PlanRoom project management tools support the design, bid, construction
and archive phases for any construction project. The online calendar for allows users
to coordinate projects, schedules and deadline dates. IDEAL PlanRoom enables online
ordering from Print History (jobs on file), as well as online ordering of color brochures
and posters or of documents submitted online using a web browser (batch upload). With
effortless job order fulfillment, the job ticket is sent to the customer's control point;
it is reviewed, directed to appropriate printer and released. Print jobs can be archived
or deleted.
The IDEAL PlanRoom can be hosted and owned by the individual company, so there are no
concerns about files being located on an outside server. Because it is customizable, it
can be "branded" to the individual company, or to individual projects. The IDEAL PlanRoom
is not affiliated with Oce, Xerox, KIP, so it has an equipment-independent platform. The
IDEAL PlanRoom is database driven, folder based, and customizable to disciplines and bid
packages.

- Bulk file upload. Customers can send multi-file selection including folders, via drag and drop control embedded in the web page.
- No client software installation, reducing your customer support cost.
- Embedded RIP controller technology for super-fast viewing and printing
- Job director with print queue
- Direct small format work to network laser printers, supports tray selection, duplex, tc.
- Support for large format color images 500MB+
- Direct your color jobs directly to inkjet printers or RIP system, Canon CLC, etc.
- Create multi-page TIFF and PDF of document sets; plans, specs, etc. for electronic distribution.
- Credit card ordering through customer's SSL certificate from Verisign, or by using the affordable Payflow service on the web.
- Calculate taxes on orders (state & municipal), if needed.
