introduces the new IDEAL/Contex Magnum 54"
color scanner which allows users to scan in color images up to 54" wide, store them
on their own, customized, browser-based IDEAL PlanRoom, and sell large format color
graphics online. The IDEAL/Contex Magnum 54" color scanner is the first in the industry
to handle 54" media and IDEAL's Online PlanRoom is customizable to sell color graphics
online. These two technologies are targeted to Reprographic Companies, Sign Shops, Copy
Shops, POP/Exhibit/Display Providers and Service Bureaus.

High Precision Color

The IDEAL/Contex Magnum 54" color scanner incorporates the new TX technology for enhanced
scan speed and image quality for high impact monochrome and color scanning for the
scan-to-print and scan-to-web applications. The Magnum XL's on-board real time color
correction and 2D-filters for color sharpening, softening, and blur provide superior
results with a wide variety of input images. Color is captured at 42 bits for maximum
color precision, passing the best 24 bits of color data to the computer to enhance color
fidelity. The new 54" color scanner handles media up to 0.6" thick and scans color images
at 3 inches per second (IPS). |

The IDEAL/Contex Magnum 54" color scanner provides flexible connectivity supporting
both FireWire and SCSI. The IDEAL/Contex Magnum 54" scanner incorporates the proprietary
3C Maintenance System that keeps the cameras perfectly aligned, adjusted and calibrated
for optimal performance and quality. The IDEAL/Contex 54" scanner is compatible with
IDEAL's scanning, indexing, editing and online planroom solutions, which include RasterID,
intelligent title block contents recognition software with built-in, breakthrough OCR
technology, automatically extracts title block information from scanned drawings to an
archive database; WiseImage, intelligent raster editing software package that allows
you to edit drawings in raster with the same ease as editing a CAD file; IntraSCAN
provides instant network access of scanned drawings; and Online PlanRoom where you can
archive, search, retrieve, view, sell, and print large format drawings on a password
protected internet. |

IDEAL's Online PlanRoom offers more functionality than most planrooms. One the unique features of
the IDEAL's Online PlanRoom is that it enables companies to display and sell, online, large format
color graphics, posters, and other artistic representations
as well as the typical plans and specs associated with a planroom. IDEAL's PlanRoom is a
