IDEAL Introduces Color ScanCENTRAL
for Online Ordering and Viewing |

October 28, 2003 - IDEAL.com announces the new Color ScanCENTRAL system for
online ordering and viewing. The Color ScanCENTRAL system includes an IDEAL/Contex
Color Scanner up to 54" wide, JETimage PRO+ scan-to-print software and e-commerce-enabled
IDEAL ArtRoom software. The Color ScanCENTRAL system enables scanning of ultra-large
documents up to ½" thick. Once they are scanned, the documents can be stored in the
reprographer's online "ArtRoom." Customers can quickly view, without download, and
order prints online. The print order is sent to the Reprographer's inkjet printing
department for printing.

About ArtRoom Software
|
ArtRoom Software is unique because it adapts online planroom technology to drive color
printing revenues. IDEAL's thin client technology enables 60 Megabyte files to view in
30 seconds over a 56K modem. Files of this size would normally take 4 hours to download
and view over a 56K modem.
With ArtRoom software, all files are stored on the Reprographer's server, so the Reprographer
retains control of his customer's files.
