 May 19, 2004,
Rockville, Maryland - IDEAL.com announces its
partnership with Encad, Inc., a wholly owned
subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company. With the
addition of Encad's T200+ printer and the NOVAJET
1000i printer, IDEAL's 'Total Solution' product
line now includes a complete scan-to-print
solution. This solution was presented to IDEAL's
reseller channel at IDEAL's Spring Dealer
Conference held in Rockville, Maryland, on May 3
and 4, 2004, and is available through any of
IDEAL's authorized resellers. Support for Encad
printers, like support for IDEAL/Contex scanners,
is provided by Kodak, so IDEAL customers have
one-stop-shopping for their IDEAL scan-to-print
solutions.
IDEAL is a recognized
leader in wide format scanning solutions,
including scan-to-print, indexing, document
management, online planrooms and raster editing
software. IDEAL is also the Contex "Distributor of
the Year," a title IDEAL has retained since 1998.
IDEAL is a full service scanning solution provider
with a broad base of large format digital imaging
experience.
"Encad is a pioneer in wide
format inkjet printing, and the perfect addition
to our 'Total Solution' product package," says Jay
Magenheim, President of IDEAL. "IDEAL/Contex
scanners and IDEAL software solutions enable our
customers to scan-to-print, index and digitally
manage and edit drawings. Encad printers round out
our product offering by enabling our customers to
print their digital files as needed."
The
Encad T200+ allows the user to effortlessly switch
from full color graphics printing to four color or
monochrome CAD output. The new CIS2(tm) ink set with
dye black ink (in addition to cyan, magenta and
yellow dye ink) creates brilliant full color
photographic images, and uses pigment black ink
(with cyan, magenta and yellow dye ink) option to
print CAD drawings with distinct line acuity. For
super fast monochrome printing, at speeds of up to
567 square feet per hour, the T200+ offers an ink
set of four black pigment inks. "The versatility
and capability of the T200+ make it an excellent
choice as an output device from ScanDEX,
ScanDEX-IX or any of IDEAL's Online PlanRooms, "
adds Magenheim.
The NOVAJET 1000i sets a
new standard with print speeds of up to 220 square
feet per hour (20.4 sq. meters/hr) of sellable
output. A new print head with 640 nozzles provides
high-speed printing on a wide variety of media.
The Rapid Evaporation Drying System ensures that
your prints are instantly ready for take-up, even
at full machine speed. The exceptional image
quality, high reliability and rapid print speed
make the NOVAJET 1000i the perfect companion
printer to IDEAL's ArtRoom software. Users can
store and sell large color graphics on line with
this software that enables fast view without
download. Print your customer's art orders using
Encad's NOVAJET 1000i with specially designed
Quantum Inks andKodak media for lasting artistic
prints that look like the original.
"Joining forces with IDEAL, allows Encad
to enter into a new application space," said
Philip Cullimore, VP Printers and Inks for Encad,
"This move demonstrates a great show of confidence
in Encad's printers from IDEAL's management."
