CAD users and managers a secure and convenient means of accessing
confidential project plans, specifications and large-format drawings
using an Internet Web browser.

Problem: A
small electrical installation company with 20 employees, needed to find
a better, faster, less expensive way to create fitting instructions for
electric outlets, electric wiring and alarm systems on existing
drawings. Typically, the way this small electrical installation company
handled the problem was to send out three or four images, per week, for
scanning and vectorization at a cost of approximately $75 per image.
The result of these conversions was generally of low quality and
contained many small converted elements that required considerable time
to clean-up before fitting instructions could be added to the drawing.

Scandump Utility If you have a concern regarding scan quality,
a quick way to isolate the problem is to use the Scandump Utility.
Scandump provides a quick snapshot showing the "all
important" light profiles within the scanner. One click and
Scandump provides light profiles for all of the cameras, showing all of
the CCD channels, both in corrected and uncorrected formats, all in one
very tightly compressed file. Your technical support contact may ask
the you to run a Scandump and email the results in order to help
determine whether or not you need an on-site visit. For additional
information on reading light profiles and the Scandump utility, please
refer to the IDEAL / Contex Technical Service Guide.
