Copy Station

The copy station is used for printing scanned images directly without saving to files. The scanning is based on the scanner settings. Before you start scanning you have to enter a print ID and the printer setup. Additionally if you print directly to a Xerox 8825/8830 you have to enter the number of copies wanted in the copy number edit box.

Print ID

Enter the print ID in the print ID edit box. You can enter a text with up to 255 characters as the print ID. The print ID makes it easy for you to find the print information afterwards in the printer archive. If the edit box is disabled, it's because you have entered a print ID in the print logging dialog box by clicking on the menu item Preferences è Printing è Print Logging… Note that in this dialog box you also decide whether you want to get prompted or not for a print ID every time you print.

Copies

Enter the number of copies in the copy number edit box.

Printer Setup

Click on the menu item Preferences è Printing è Print Setup… to set the print options. If you use a Xerox 8825/8830 printer, you can enter the print settings in the Printer Options toolbar instead of using the dialog box and you can print collate . Note that IDEALScanOS supports multiple Xerox 8825/8830’s distributing print jobs on a cyclic basis.

Each time you print/plot in IDEALScanOS, the following print information is stored in the printer archive:

v Print ID

v Operator Name

v Scan Time

v Area (in Square Meter)

v Copies

v Device

v Media
