Requirements for Scanning Computers
IDEAL recommends Dell computers due to the fact that Dell computers seem to have less SCSI compatibility issues. However, IDEAL cannot guarantee the compatibility of any computer with Adaptec's SCSI interface.
- Scanning computers should have a free PCI slot for a SCSI or Firewire card, and a USB port (for Cougar and Chameleon only).
- Please note that Windows NT DOES NOT support USB and Firewire.
- The computer CANNOT be a Server
- The computer CANNOT be a Mac
