Merge Vectors to Polyline
Merge Vectors to Circle
Merge Vectors to Arc
Merge Vectors to Line
Merge Vectors to Auto

Menu: Correct > Merge Vectors to...

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: Due to poor quality of some raster objects, vector objects obtained from automatic vectorization sometimes need to be additionally corrected. Such correction is needed if after recognizing such objects as lines, circles, arcs, and polylines you obtain a number of separate vectors - fragments. You can also use Merge Vectors to Auto command that automatically defines the type of vector object obtained via merging.
Though the merging commands are called Merging vectors to… and the descriptions of other commands in this section instruct how to edit vectors, you can also apply these commands to raster objects.

Group/Ungroup Edge

Menu: Correct > Group/Ungroup Edge

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: Edge is a temporary set of vector objects with a function of "cookie cutter". The vector objects included in Edge make a contour, which can be used with the commands Break/Expand/Trim from the Correct menu.
Using Edge you can trim vector image parts that are outside the Edge, trim vector objects by the Edge, and also expand vector lines up to the Edge.
You can only set one Edge in the document; if you set a new one, the previous is automatically ungrouped.
The Edge contents are not saved when closing the document unlike the contents of a group or a block.

Trim vectors by Edge

Menu: Correct > Trim vectors by Edge

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: You can trim an object precisely by the boundary defined by one or more objects. A trimming boundary can be composed of lines, arcs, circles, polylines, and others. If a trimming boundary has any width, the objects to be trimmed are trimmed along the centerline of this boundary. You can use an Edge as a boundary.

Extend vectors by Edge

Menu: Correct > Extend vectors by Edge

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: You can extend vector objects so that they end precisely at the boundary defined by other objects. You can use one or several selected objects, and also Edge as a boundary.

Break vectors

Menu: Correct > Break vectors

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: You can break vector objects, such as lines, arcs, circles, polylines and others into smaller parts using the Break vectors command. You can specify points on the vector object at which you want it to break, and also a break boundary by which the selected vector objects are supposed to break. Edge can be used as a break boundary.

Correct to Intersection

Menu: Correct > Correct to Intersection

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: This command is applied to correct vector objects, which are supposed to be joined at an intersection by trimming or expanding accordingly. You can correct to intersection a pair of lines, arcs, and circles as well as different combinations of these objects.

Original objects (left) and corrected to intersection (right).

Create Chamfer

Menu: Correct > Create Chamfer

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: A chamfer is a line object that connects two nonparallel lines or polylines. The connected lines or polylines are trimmed or extended if necessary.

There are two methods to create a chamfer: by specifying two distances and by distance and angle.

WiseImage proposes the chamfer configuration following the mouse position. You can choose the option to trim extending lines or to leave them intact.

Create Fillet

Menu: Correct > Create Fillet

Toolbar: Vector Correction

Description: A fillet connects two objects with a smooth fillet arc of a specified radius. You can fillet lines, arcs, and circles.

Original objects (left) and fillets (right).

WiseImage proposes the fillet configuration following the mouse position. You can choose the option to trim extending lines or to leave them intact.

Align Angle and Distance

Menu: Correct > Align Angle and Distance

Description: This command can be very useful if you need to align lines, arcs and circles. Lines are aligned by one of the lines so that resulting lines are parallel; arcs and circles become concentric after alignment.

Aligned arcs (two options depending on mouse position)
