Select > Rectangle
Select > Polygon

Toolbar: Raster Select

Menu: rEdit > Select > Rectangle, rEdit > Select > Polygon

Description: First command selects all raster data within a rectangular area, specified by two opposite corners. The second one selects all the data within the polygon boundary selected.

Select > Object
Select > Line
Select > Arc
Select > Circle

Menu: rEdit > Select > Object, rEdit > Select > Line, rEdit > Select > Arc, rEdit > Select > Circle

Toolbar: Raster Select

Description: Object method auto selects one raster entity (line, arc, circle) by automatically recognizing the object type.

With Line, Arc and Circle methods you need to define a reference object:
Line - specify end points of the reference line either on a raster line or on its extension;
Arc - specify three points of the reference arc either a raster line or on its extension;
Circle - specify two opposite points of a raster circle.

Select > FloodFill
Select > Object Type Recognition
Select > Line Follow

Menu: rEdit > Select > FloodFill, rEdit > Select > Object Type Recognition, rEdit > Select > Line Follow

Toolbar: Raster Select, More Raster Select

Description: Algorithms of selecting. Combined with one of five types of capturing selection set (see next section), yields different results.

FloodFill - contiguous area of adjacent pixels (an isolated object);
Object Type Recognition - creates automatically recognized line, arc or circle;
Line Follow - creates a segment of polyline between two nodes.

Select > Inside Polygon
Select > Cross Window
Select > Cross Polygon
Select > Fence

Menu: rEdit > Select > InsideWindow, rEdit > Select > Inside Polygon, rEdit > Select > Cross Window, rEdit > Select > Cross Polygon, rEdit > Select > Fence

Toolbar: Raster Select, More Raster Select

Description: Types of capturing selection set. Combined with one of three algorithms of selecting (see previous section), yields different results.

Inside Window - you draw a rectangle encompassing data to be selected;
Inside Polygon - you draw a polygon encompassing data to be selected;
Cross Window - you draw a rectangle crossing data to be selected;
Cross Polygon - you draw a polygon crossing data to be selected;
Fence - you draw a fence (polyline with line segments) crossing data to be selected.

Select > Enable Raster Objects
Select > Disable Raster Objects

Toolbar: Raster Select

Menu: rEdit > Select > Enable Raster Objects, rEdit > Select > Disable Raster Objects

Description: Enables or disables the creation of raster objects when selecting raster objects with the commands: Select Auto, Select Cross Window, Select Cross Polygon, Select Fence. This mode is used if you need to work in object selection mode without further raster object modifying.

Select > Add
Select > Remove
Select > Single

Toolbar: Raster Select

Menu: rEdit > Select > Add, rEdit > Select > Remove, rEdit > Select > Single

Description: Selection modes. In Single mode new selection deselects all previously selected raster data. In Add Mode selected raster data is added to the selection set. In Remove mode selected raster data is removed from the selection set.
