Lesson 5. Editing a Raster Image

Brief description: During this lesson you will study WiseImage methods of editing raster images, and also an example of applying tracing to edit a raster image.

For detailed information on these subjects see the following sections of the Quick Start guide: Editing data selected with object selection methods, Object snap, Tracing Hatches.

Let’s see an example of modifying a detail comprised in the unit.

Before editing the raster image
After editing the raster image

Editing raster objects

Choose Open from the File menu. Open the Raster_Edit.cws file from the Lesson_5 folder.

  • Select the raster circle

  • Open Inspector (choose Inspector from the Tools menu)
In the corresponding fields of Inspector:
  • Change the radius from 9.16 to 7 mm.
  • Change the line width to 0.6 mm.
  • Select the line and move it to the new position.
  • Do the same for the second line, which contacts the circle.

  • Select the arc with arc selection by reference object method, and then move it using the grips.

  • Select the next line and move it.

  • Select the highlighted lines one by one, and stretch them by grips to the circle.
